SUMMER SCHOOL
AUGUST 7TH- 18TH 2006

The London Atelier of Representational Art aims to teach the most fundamentally important aspects of drawing, painting and sculpture from life. It is our belief that by giving students a solid training in accurate observation, they can master the expression of the human form. The emphasis of our program is working directly from the model using a specific approach designed to teach the essential concepts of proportion, line, gesture, form and light.

  Painting Sculpture Drawing

Students will spend half the day drawing or painting the nude and half drawing, painting or sculpting from either a plaster cast, still life or portrait model and each project will last at least one week. Two teachers will give regular critiques and be in the studio, working with the students all day. There will be a maximum of 20 students at any one time and precedence is given to those who wish to stay for two weeks. Both of our teachers have studied extensively throughout Europe and are professional artists currently exhibiting at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and The BP in London.
